OSHA proposed rule and Congress Action

Great news! Congress just signed a letter requesting that the Department of Labor abandon the proposed OSHA rule and consider alternative ways to protect health and safety of emergency responders. This is a big step forward because the OSHA proposed rule would establish a one-size-fits-all approach that does not take into account the resources in a given community and would jeopardize the existence of many fire, rescue and emergency medical services, ultimately making communities less safe. Take a moment to read this letter from Congress to fully understand its impact.
