
Burn Permits
OPEN BURNING REQUIREMENTS:
1 - Obtain a burn permit (from Fire District you live in)
2 - Call (541) 469-3118, option 0 BEFORE you burn.
BURN PERMITS
Burn season is typically October through May, but actual open and close of burn season varies. Call Harbor Fire Station to get current information.
We are now offering a two day permit that is $10. A season permit is $50. Permits can be purchased at Harbor Rural Fire Protection District station at 98069 W. Benham Lane in Harbor.
The office is open Monday - Friday, 9am - 4pm. We accept cash or checks. Checks should be made out to Harbor Rural Fire Protection District.

BURNING REGULATIONS
CLASS A - Burn Barrels can burn from dawn until 4pm.
CLASS B - Open Burning small piles of yard debris, can burn from dawn until 4pm. *No piles larger than 4' x 4'.
CLASS C - Large Brush Piles and Land Clearing could possibly require a D.E.Q. permit and equipment.
REQUIREMENTS

A water hose that reaches 360 degrees around any burning is required.

No burning on windy days.

A responsible person must be present while all fires are burning.

Materials that cannot be burned include: Rubber, asphalt, plastic, oil, tires, wet kitchen garbage, disposable diapers. Anything else which will create a black smoke or an offensive odor.

The Harbor Fire Department may cancel or suspend permit(s) already issued, as shall constitute good judgement for the welfare and safety of the public.
